A dedicated referral pathway for hospitals, crisis programs, pediatricians, schools, therapists, county systems, and community providers.
Identify whether the referral is for outpatient psychiatry/therapy, pediatric Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) or Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), adult IOP, autism/neurodevelopmental services, or another current offering. Pediatric PHP and IOP are designed for children ages 5–13. Confirm age and service eligibility for other programs directly with ROW.
Share the presenting psychiatric or behavioral/developmental concerns, functional impact, treatment history, and requested level of care. ROW reviews referrals individually; final program fit, admission, and availability require clinical and access review.
When referring an autistic or neurodivergent child for psychiatric treatment, include relevant communication supports, sensory needs, developmental considerations, regulation strategies, and existing providers. The psychiatric condition drives PHP/IOP need; the child’s neurodevelopmental profile helps inform care delivery. ROW’s continuum includes neurodiversity-affirming psychiatric PHP/IOP with interdisciplinary autism and behavioral expertise.
Relevant information includes the patient’s age, presenting concerns, current providers, requested service and location, caregiver contact, insurance details, and pertinent clinical documentation.
