Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for school-age children is designed to provide comprehensive support and guidance to children who require additional assistance in developing a positive mindset, building resilience, and experiencing transformational growth. We understand the unique challenges children face in today’s world and aim to empower them with the necessary tools and strategies to overcome obstacles, enhance their well-being, and thrive in their daily lives. This program combines evidence-based therapeutic approaches with educational and experiential activities to foster personal growth and positive change.
In IOP, clients are in treatment up to 4 days per week, and up to 8-9 hours per week. At Row, our IOP uses storytelling (conversation circles) to help the children access their joy, sadness, strength, and weakness. Through storytelling, we explore the child’s lived experiences in both their emotional and social development. Our conversation circles inspires both internal, and external transformation.
IOP programming includes individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, yoga, music and mindfulness.
The IOP can serve as a step-down level of care, helping to foster a positive transition into activities of daily living upon discharging from inpatient hospitalization or partial hospitalization. IOP can also be leveraged as a direct-admit level of care for school age children requiring a higher level of care from an outpatient setting — allowing them to remain engaged with their lives.
